Pool Court has now closed

As you no doubt will have heard, the 'final curtain' fell at Pool Court on New Year's Eve 2005. Brasserie Forty 4 will continue as normal and takes over the room that Pool Court occupied.

Pool Court has been at the pinnacle of Yorkshire’s restaurant and hospitality scene since 1966 but now owners Hanni and Michael Gill have decided to retire permanently to their home in south-west France.

During the past 40 years Pool Court has been recognised by all the leading food guides - they said:

"This real Yorkshire gem would not look out of place in any major city around the world" - The Good Food Guide

"The experience was impressive, service perfectly pitched, cooking humming with confidence and bold, bright ideas." - Yorkshire Post

So, this really is your last chance to dine in the city’s only Michelin-starred restaurant.

NOTE: Brasserie Forty 4 will continue as normal and take over the room that Pool Court has occupied, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the Brasserie fayre in a more relaxing environment.
